

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas R. Borger; her parents, Russell (Howard) and Marie Staup; and her sister, Sandra (Sue) Eades.
Karen’s memory will be cherished by her children, Sheryl L. (Gregg Crabtree) Evans, Sandra K. (Eric) Packard, and Thomas R. (Nancy) Borger, Jr. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Christina R. (Lamon Gray) Ullrich, Michelle L. (Larry) Downing, John Michael (Jennie) Flaim, Sarah M. Carlisle, Katie L. (Adam) Burgher, Emily K. (Dale) Dreibelbis, Robert E. Borger, and Ryan T. Borger. She was also blessed with 16 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her tremendous joy.
Karen devoted over 30 years of her life as a respiratory therapist at the former Good Samaritan Hospital, where her compassion and dedication touched countless lives. Beyond her career, she found happiness in giving back, supporting several charitable organizations throughout her life. Karen also loved traveling, especially cruises, and found joy in creating and collecting hand-made quilts, crocheting, reading, and collecting Olaf keepsakes. Her quilts, like her spirit, were stitched with love, warmth, and care.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at Tobias Funeral Home – Beavercreek Chapel. Interment will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
