Age 80 passed away Monday, November 26, 2018 at the Kettering Medical Center. She was born on February 26, 1938 in Joliet, Illinois and raised in Illinois. She attended Joliet Junior College where she earned an associate’s degree in Dental Hygiene. She worked as a dental hygienist before having children and becoming a homemaker. After moving to the Dayton, Ohio area she worked for Weight Watchers as a receptionist for many years. She also was an active member and served on many committees at Christ the King Lutheran Church. She enjoyed playing cards, cruising and getting together with friends and family. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Beth Ellen Sager, her husband, Frank D. Sager, and her parents, Edwin and Alice Johnson Weiss. Kay is survived by her son, Mark (Debbie) Sager and her granddaughter, Julia, her daughter, Laura (Brian) Taulbee, her sister, June Weiss Johnson, and her brother, Paul (Clara) Weiss. Family is to receive friends Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 50 Nutt Road, Centerville, Ohio 45458; where memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made using the links below to either the American Cancer Society or the University of Kentucky Phi Mu Dance Blue which supports patients and their families as well as provides funding for research of Pediatric Cancer. Dance Blue combines Kay and her granddaughter Julia’s passion for helping families and furthering research of pediatric cancer through Julia’s love of dance.
