Kenneth Owen Moore

MOORE, Kenneth O, Age 85 of Washington Township passed away peacefully Thursday April 14, 2016 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born in Illiopolis, Ill. June 13, 1930 the son of Russell and Inez Moore. He attended Millikin University in Decatur, Ill. And was a veteran of the United States Air force. He worked many years at Chrysler Airtemp and retired from the General Dynamics Lima Army Tank Plant. He was a member of Kettering American Legion Post 598 and the Antioch Shrine. After retirement he moved to Washington Township to be closer to family. He especially enjoyed watching his grandsons’ play ice hockey, attending nearly every game. He is survived by his wife of 63 years Ethel (Smith) and son Terry (Betty), grandsons Terry II (Shonagh) of Apex, NC and T.J. (Stacie) of Springboro, OH and two great grandchildren Nathan and Kinley. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Larry. A private service was held on April 18 with family and close friends in attendance.
