Laura L Kronz

Laura Lorraine Kronz, aged 91, of Dayton, Ohio, was called to her heavenly home on the evening of Mother's Day, May 12, 2024, at 6:17 pm. Born on July 29, 1932, in Wauseon, Ohio, Laura was a graduate of Swanton High School in the class of 1949. In the late 1960s, she settled in southern Ohio and became an esteemed and beloved member of the Beavercreek Community and her church congregation. She will be missed by all that knew her.

Known affectionately as "Tootie" to her friends and family, Laura leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion. She is survived by her children, David Lingenfelter Jr. and Kathryn E. Faber; her treasured grandchildren, Michael Lingenfelter (Lynise), D. Cole Lingenfelter (Jenny), Bowen Lingenfelter (Kristen), Summer Lingenfelter (Jon), Nicholas Faber (Alamea), Daphne Faber, Alexander Faber (Taylor), Lucas Faber (Lynn), Philip Faber, and Phoebe Faber; and her cherished great-grandchildren, Maren, Macklin, Linden, and Carter Lingenfelter; as well as her adoring siblings, Lois Jean Hogan, Donna Gardner, Carol Mason (Bill), Grace Bauman (Don) and Bud Franklin (Nancy).

Laura was preceded in passing by her dear parents, Ralph Franklin and Margaret Rice; her siblings, Sharon, John, and Ruth Franklin; her loving husband, Nicholas Kronz; her son, Michael Ralph Lingenfelter; her daughter, Elizabeth Marie Kronz; her daughter-in-law, Alecia Lee Lingenfelter; and her son-in-law, Eric Neal Faber.

Throughout her life, Laura pursued various vocations and passions. She graced the fashion modeling scene, served with dedication at the Men's Shop, performed secretarial duties at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, and volunteered her time reading to children, as well as serving on various community boards and programs.

A faithful servant of the Lord, Laura was an active member of Peace Lutheran Church since 1968, where she found spiritual comfort and kinship. Her life was enriched by her roles as a dedicated mother, homemaker, and master seamstress. She also obtained certification in hypnotherapy, crafted Angel Pins as gifts of love, and was a constant benefactor to her community, notably through her work with the Easter Seal Society and her care for her daughter, Lizzy, who had Down syndrome (Laura only left Lizzy one night in 34 years! Now that's dedication).

A traditional Celebration of Life service will be held in Laura's memory on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at Peace Lutheran Church, 3540 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432. The family will receive friends beginning at 11 am, followed by a service at noon, and a luncheon thereafter.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Laura's memory to organizations supporting Down Syndrome/Special Olympics or Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Tobias Funeral Home in Beavercreek, Ohio. Laura's fierce spirit, creative heart, unwavering strength, and dedication to her loved ones and her community will be held in fond remembrance.
