Lois L. Greene

Greene, Lois L., age 82 of Kettering peacefully passed away Sunday August 25, 2013. She was born December 22, 1930 in South Shore, KY to the late Clara and Winfred “Dan” Stevenson. If you were to stand on the Ohio side of the river in Portsmouth and look across the bridge back in 1940, you would see young Lois running up and down the hill around her house, laughing with her brothers and sisters as the world changed around her. That little girl became our loving mother and she will be in our hearts forever. Lois is preceded in death by her husband William L. Greene, daughter Cynthia Greene, son-in-law George Dailey, and 6 siblings. Survivors include her son Steven Greene (Karen), daughter Connie Dailey, sister Norma Hamilton, grandchildren Scott Dailey, Stephen Greene, and Ryan Greene , great-grandchildren Sarah, Hannah, Emily, Ivan, Griffin, and Jordan, and numerous nieces and nephews. One of Lois’ greatest joys in life was caring for her grandchildren. She also loved her music, especially country and the blues. The funeral service will be 11AM, Friday, August 30, 2013 at the Tobias Funeral Home, Belmont Chapel, 648 Watervliet Ave. Dayton, with Pastor Tom Stewart officiating. Burial to follow in Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home Thursday evening from 5 to 8pm.
