Dr. Louis V Imundo, Jr., husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, arbitrator, author, big game hunter, professor and friend passed away on November 2, 2019. He is survived by his wife Carol, his 5 children and their spouses, Louis III and Jennifer, Larry, Leslie, Lisa and Jon Reno, Dan and Danielle, his 8 grandchildren Taylor, Kelsey, Layken, Nate, Sophia, Addie, Callie, and TJ, his great granddaughter Amelia, his brothers Rico and Marc, and many, many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Louis and Ursula, and his first wife Geraldine. He often remarked that if he lived to be a thousand years old he would never experience all that this world had to offer, but he made a great effort at packing everything he could in to his eventful 77 years with us, and we were all the better for it. He traveled the world, often with his hunting buddies. He was a white water rafter, mountain climber, hiker, jeeping enthusiast, a perfectionist. He never met a stranger. He was often the first to lend a helping hand, whether asked for or not. Heaven help anyone who told him that there was something that could not be done. He was the bane of many unfortunate moles and other creatures that dared to invade his lawn. He was fortunate to have the love and companionship of not one but two incredible, vibrant and wonderful women in his life, each of whom loved him deeply. His outsized presence, deep resonant voice and caring spirit are already missed and will continue to be missed for a long time to come. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, November 8, 2019 at the Tobias Funeral Home – Far Hills Chapel. Funeral service 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 9, 2019 at the funeral home. Burial Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton or to the charity of your choice. Condolences may be sent to www.tobiasfuneralhome.com
