Margaret Ann Lipscomb

Margaret Lipscomb(Shook)72, passed away Tuesday July 6, 2021. She was born August 31, 1948 to Fred and Lois Shook in Dayton, Ohio. Where she attended Dayton City Schools, and loved to roller skate where she met her husband Larry J. Lipscomb of 55 years. As a loving and devoted wife, and a mother to three children Penny, Joann, and Larry.

Margaret enjoyed a career at Kettering Medical Center for many years. After retiring she resided with her husband in Florida for the last 15 years. She loved traveling with her husband, visiting family and spoiling their grandchildren. She also loved quilting, knitting, decorating cakes, taking pictures of family and sun set and sleeping in.

She is survived by her husband Larry J. Lipscomb. Their three children Penny Hirn(Dave), Joann Cole(Ray), Larry Lipscomb(Amy). Eight grandchildren Amanda Turlington, Ashley Hirn, Matthew Hirn, Kenny Matczak, Dawn Daniel(Eric), Amber Lipscomb, Joseph Lipscomb, Emily Lipscomb. Two great grandchildren Oliver Matczak, Anastasia H Daniel. And sister Donna Lockwood and numerous brothers/sister- in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews. And many beloved friends!

She proceeded in death by her mother Lois Shook, father Fred Shook, step mother Clancy Shook, granddaughter Vyktoria Matczak, and sister Joyce Shook(Travis)

Services to be held at Tobias Funeral Home, Beavercreek. Wednesday, July 21, 2021 5pm-7pm. Service on Thursday, July 22, 2021 at 11am, with burial to follow.

I got to know Margaret when I worked at Kettering hospital,She was a Coordinator. She was a great person to work with. She will be truly missed. Prayers for the family.

I remember when they lived just down the street and we could walk or bike over. We used to do it a lot. I miss you grandma and I know you are feeling much better. I love you so very much.

I had the pleasure of knowing Maragrat for a short time while she was living in Florida. She was a warm and friendly person and enjoyable to talk with. She will be sadly missed, Thoughts and prayers to Larry and her family, God Bless .

I worked with Margaret at Kettering. She had fun, laughs and woes as part of the leadership team and staff liked working with her. It was a pleasure to have been able to work with her. Prayers to Larry and the family during this difficult time.
