Margaret Jane Murray

Margaret Jane (Haber) Murray, age 92, of Dayton, passed away in the presence of loved ones Sunday, Nov. 26th, 2017 at Miami Valley Hospital. Born July 9th, 1925 in West Alexandria, OH; daughter of Orlan and Marie Haber. In her younger years she was active in The Southeast Priority Board and Walnut Hills Civic Association. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her dogs. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Murray; daughter, Ella Smith; son-in-law, Gary Smith Sr.; grandchildren, Emily and Jason Tangeman; brother, Jim Haber; Bertie (Lucy) Askew and special friend, William Zennie. She is survived by her daughters, Connie (Todd) Hodapp and Vera (John) Tangeman; 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was a kind and generous soul and will truly be missed by all who knew her. We will treasure memories of her smiling face. She was the best grandma (granny). Visitation will be between 6pm and 8pm on Monday, Dec. 4th, 2017 at Tobias Funeral Home – 648 Watervliet Ave., Dayton, OH 45420. Funeral service will be at 11am on Tuesday, Dec. 5th, 2017 at the funeral home with burial immediately to follow at Sugar Grove Cemetery in West Alexandria.
