Martha Elizabeth Parcells

Martha Elizabeth Howard Parcells was born on April 7th, 1923 in Irvine, Ky to McVey and Lina Howard, the 3rd of 7 children and passed away at 10 Wilmington Place on February 4, 2024. She met her husband, Donald Leroy, while working in Dayton, OH and they were married July 5, 1947. They had celebrated 67 years of marriage when Don passed away in 2014. Martha worked for many years as an accountant for William Gans, CPA. Friends and family celebrated Martha’s 100th birthday on April 7th, 2023. Those of us who remain will miss her greatly: a brother, William Howard and his wife, Alberta of Berea, Ky; two sons: David C (Kathy) of Kettering and William D. (Monika) of Atlanta, GA; five grandchildren: Jeremy (Cari) Parcells of Arlington, TX, Michael (Heidi) of Ostrander, OH, Susan (Tyler) Doerman of Beavercreek, Karina Parcells of Dallas, TX, and Ruby Parcells of Atlanta, GA. Martha also was blessed with six great-grandchildren: Hudson and Ronan, Miles, Maiya and Elise, and Audrey. The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff at 10 Wilmington Place who took excellent care of Martha and really loved her. We also wish to thank Hospice of Dayton who more recently was involved with her care and helped smooth the transition from this life to the next, which we believe is with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Internment will be private for family members only. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 10 Wilmington Place Memory Care, or charity of choice.
