Michael J O'Connor

O’CONNOR, Michael J. (Mike), age 81 of Beavercreek passed away 1/31/18. Preceded in death by his parents, Michael H and Anne O’Connor. Survived by Ann his beloved wife of 53 years, children Mike (Mary) O’Connor of Hebron, KY, Dan (Wendy) O’Connor of Centerville, sister Karen Gillen of Monmouth, IL, Grandchildren, Molly and Ryan O’Connor, Brad and Bryan Lewis, Great-grandchildren Jack Lewis. Proud graduate of Mt. Carmel High School in Chicago. He received a Bachelor Degree from Notre Dame in Electrical Engineering in 1958. Received a Master’s Degree from Ohio State University and a PH.D. from Ohio University. Retired from WPAFB after 38 years as an Electrical Engineer. Mike loved spending time with his family and extended family. He was a longtime C.Y.O track coach for over 40 years, an avid sports fan, beer can collector and active member of St. Luke Parish. Visitation at TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME – Beavercreek Chapel on Sunday February 4th, 2-4 pm. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Luke Catholic Church Monday February 5th at 10 am, interment at Graceland Cemetery Sidney OH Monday February 5th at 2:30pm.
