Norma Jean Burgess

BURGESS, Norma Jean, age 84, long-time resident of the Dayton area, passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Trinity Community Center. She was born in 1931 in Dayton, OH. Norma attended Stivers, and worked at McCalls and Valor Enterprise while caring for her three loving children. Norma was preceded in death by her loving spouse John Burgess, brother Howard Burgess, and sister Gayle Burgess. She is survived by her children Denise (Trimboli) Crow, Jim (Denise) Burgess, Debbie (Dan Barowsky) Crow, grandchildren Deanna Barowsky, Cecilia (Jeff) McGrath, Darla Browsky, Jennifer (John) Wourms, Frank (Alesha) Trimboli, John (Danielle) Trimboli, and 10 great-grandchildren. Norma loved dining out and socializing. She enjoyed a good puzzle, her dog Bella, and spending time with her family. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME – BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. at Grange Hall Rd. with interment to follow in Woodland Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 12 pm until the time of services on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
