Olaf W. Howard “Bill”, age 75, of Fairborn, Ohio passed away on August 21, 2022. He was born on August 17, 1947 in Lenggries, Germany and immigrated to the United States with his family in 1955. Olaf graduated from Bloomington High School and later joined the Army in 1969. He retired after 20 years as a Sergeant First Class in the Biomedical Management field. He proudly served during the Vietnam War with the 82nd Airborne Division. Olaf enjoyed collecting, sailing, scuba diving, working on his cars, and playing pool.
Olaf is survived by his daughter, Dawn (Matt) Dickman, and their two children Alex and Delaney; his daughter, Brandy Howard Cornine and her two children Kay Lee and Cole. He is also survived by his brother Frederick, sister Anne Marie, and two nephews Rob and Armin. Olaf is preceded in death by his father, William H. Howard; mother, Christine M. Socher Howard; and brother, Dirk H. Howard.
