

R. Kelly Owens, 91, of Dayton and a longtime resident of the Beavercreek area, passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at the VA Hospice. He is preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Helen Owens, in 2015. He is survived by his children: Stephen (Cheryl) Owens of Drummond, Montana, Jeff (Lucy) Owens of Jamestown, Karen Owens of Avon Park, FL, Kevin (Deborah) Owens of Middletown, Chris (Mary) Owens of W. Carrollton; 15 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and other relatives and friends. Kelly was an Army Air Corps veteran of WWII and was retired from NCR after 39 years of employment. He was a former member and treasurer of Grace United Methodist Church, and a former troop leader in the Boy Scouts of America. Family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. at Grange Hall Rd. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Thursday, November 16, 2017 with Pastor Charles Wolfenbarger officiating. Interment will be in Dayton National Cemetery.
