Ralph Wayne Taylor

TAYLOR, Ralph Wayne 78 of Xenia, passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2023. Ralph was born April 26, 1945 in Blanchester, Ohio to the late Harold E. and Venice M. (Freytag) Taylor. Also preceding him in death are a daughter Kristie Jean Taylor and sister Judy Hottinger.

Ralph leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved wife of 46 years Lucille A. (Rizzo) Taylor, children Wendy Lynn (fiancé Ryan VanDerWissel) Adams, Terry Lynn Shoup, Tom Shoup Jr. Also surviving are grandchildren Quinten, Emily, Garrett Adams, Marisa (Darius) Smith, Torie (Justin) Carpenter, ManDee Hill; great-grandchildren Chloie, Braxlee, Camden, Kaisen and Paislee; sister Tonyia (Steven) Brown, many nieces, nephews cousins, friends.

Ralph was retired from GM after 33 years of dedicated service and was a US Army veteran. He enjoyed softball, bowling, fishing and was an avid golfer and loved his Cleveland Browns. Ralph didn’t know a stranger and was loved by everyone who knew him. He was a great husband, father, grandpa and friend.

Ralph’s family will receive friends at the Tobias Funeral Home, 3970 Dayton – Xenia Road, Beavercreek, Tuesday, June 20 starting at 10:00 am followed by a funeral service at 11:30 am with Pastor Mike Baab presiding. Interment will follow in Valley View Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Ralph may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Avenue, Dayton, Ohio 45420 (www.hospiceofdayton.org).
