

Raymond D. Marcum, age 78 of Beavercreek, passed away Saturday, November 9, 2013 at Liberty Nursing Home of Beavercreek. He was preceded in death by his son, Randy Marcum, in 2007 and by two brothers. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Jane (Whitacre) Marcum. He is also survived by a sister, Mary Smith of PA, two sisters-in-law, Jeanne Marcum of Fairborn and Joanne Marcum of Kettering and a sister-in –law, Kathy Wilson and husband Bob of IN, as well as many nieces and nephews. Ray was retired from the USAF in 1974; following his retirement he went to work at Wright-Patterson AFB as an airplane mechanic and retired again in 1993. Following his second retirement he began a long stint as a volunteer at the National Museum of the United States Air Force. Friends may call at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME – Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. at Grange Hall Rd. on Sunday, November 17, from 3 PM until 6 PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, November 18, 2013 at 1 PM with Pastor Don Payne officiating. Interment will be in Dayton National Cemetery.
