He is survived by his wife of 55 years, JoAnn Wilcox Rueger; daughter LeeAnn Rueger Click and husband Todd Click; and granddaughter Shelby Myers Sullivan and husband Jerden Sullivan.
Bud is also survived by one brother, Dr. William John Rueger, Sr. and his wife Barbara Rueger.
Other surviving family include: Nephew, Eldon Paul (Sonny) Rueger; Nieces, Billie Jean Rueger Smith, Roberta (Bobbie) Coy, Karen Rueger Riesenberg and husband Gerald Riesenberg; Nephews, Harry (Skip) Rueger; Daniel Rueger and wife Michel, Dr. William John Rueger, Jr., Mathew Rueger and wife, Lynn; Niece, Kathy Massey Harsha; Nephew, Douglas Massey. And many great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews.
Bud was the eighth child of the eight Rueger children. He graduated from Stivers High School, Class of 1950. He was drafted into the U.S. Army and served in the Korean War. When he came home, he started working for NCR Corporation, then went to Delco Products Division of General Motors, retiring from Delco after 25 years.
He was preceded in death by his brothers: Eldon, Robert, and Harry; and sisters: Velma Rueger Frick, Betty Rueger Massey, and Patricia Rueger.
Services will be held at Tobias Funeral Home, Beavercreek Chapel on Friday, August 29, 2025. Visitation will be 10-11 AM, and the service will begin at 11AM.
