He married his wife, Joyce, on August 20th, 1960. He was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, the Gideons, and volunteered at the Air Force Museum. Ron enjoyed woodworking, fishing at Lake Erie, traveling many places in Europe, South America, Russia, and China, and working at the church. Ron was in the Air Force and retired from Wright Patt Air Force Base. He then worked for Logtec.
Ron was a devout Christian who read and studied the Bible every day. He will be sorely missed by everyone.
Ron is survived by his wife Joyce Whisler and three children- Mark (Jeri) Whisler, Keith Whisler, and Cheryl (Steven) Quince. He is also survived by his grandchildren Andy (Lauren) Whisler, Ben (Rachel) Whisler, Natalie (Zach) Alves, Mackenzie Whisler, Lizzie Whisler, Mason Quince, and Alex Quince. He is survived by one great grandchild Charlotte Alves. Lastly, he is survived by his twin brother Donald (Janice) Whisler and nephew Chris (Peggy) Whisler.
The visitation is Thursday, July 17th from 10:00 -11:00 AM with the funeral at 11:00 AM. The service will be conducted by Pastor Mark Carlson at Emmanuel Lutheran Church at 4865 Wilmington Pike, Dayton, OH 45440.
