Ruth Catherine Donovan

DONOVAN, Ruth Catherine, age 100, of Dayton, OH, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2015, just 2 days shy of what would have been her 78th wedding anniversary. She was born on August 6, 1915, in Dayton, OH, the eldest daughter of Aloysius and Stella (Weckesser) Hirsch. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, J. Edward ; daughters, Patricia Szeman and Judith Hileman; sons-in-law, Ed Szeman and William Reboulet; grandsons Scott Szeman and Michael Reboulet; sisters, Bernadine Fouts, Dorothy Schneider, Marjorie Long, and Rita Albright. She is survived by her daughter, Beverly (Jerry) Throckmorton; a sister, Joan DeBrosse, eight grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm, Monday, September 28, 2015 at TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME – FAR HILLS CHAPEL, 5471 Far Hills Ave. at Rahn Rd. Dayton, OH 45429. Mass of Christian Burial, 10:30 am Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 6245 Wilmington Pk. Centerville, OH 45459. Interment, Calvary Cemetery.
