

Sallie Ellen Browning Miller, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and educator, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 10th, in her Kettering home. Born on November 1, 1947, in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the cherished daughter of the late Clark O. Browning and Mary Elizabeth Travers Browning.
Sallie dedicated her life to education and touched the hearts of many as a high school Home Economics teacher in Cecil County, Maryland, until her retirement in 2007.
She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Deacon Thomas H. Miller, her daughter Kelly Sue Miller Coderre, husband Thomas, and their children Andrew, Emily, and Daniel. She is also survived by her son Gregg Thomas Miller, wife Danielle, and her son Jeffrey Clark Miller.
Sallie leaves behind a legacy of lifelong friendships, especially with her dear friends Sally Marple and Claire O’Connell, who have been by her side for over 60 years.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Kettering, Ohio, from 10:00am-11:00am on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 with funeral mass to follow.
The interment will be held at Calvary Cemetery at a later date, where Sallie will be laid to rest.
Sallie Ellen Browning Miller will be remembered for her kindness, dedication, and unwavering love for her family and friends. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
