He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Rosemary Walling, Ray and Dorothy Garrett; great-aunt, Kate Garrett; aunt, Marlene Walling and cousins, Joseph Walling and Carrie Eckstein. He is survived by his parents Jerry and Florence (Garrett) Walling of Beavercreek, OH; brothers, Brett Walling of Carrollton, TX, Adam and Holly (McCracken) Walling; nephew, Drake of Beavercreek, OH; nieces, Stella and Scarlett of Beavercreek, OH and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Scott graduated from Beavercreek High School in 1998. He attended the Ohio State University and Wright State University. He was active in the Boy Scouts of America Troop 234 and enjoyed camping in all weather, caving, and hiking. He attended and served on staff for the Tomahawk Junior Leader training at Camp Birch. The highlight of his scouting career was as a member of a Philmont Hiking Crew in 1997 where he spent 10 days hiking the Sangre deCristo Mountains in New Mexico. Always an artistic and intellectual person, Scott loved music, art and studying history. He loved to play guitar while his 4 year old nephew, Drake, accompanied him on the drums. A master of the swap, Scott managed to accumulate a collection of guitars and willingly gave them to his siblings. His sense of humor, although occasionally a little bizarre, could always make you smile. Scott will be deeply missed by his family and friends. In heaven may God grant him inner peace and happiness.
