My deepest sympathy for the family and friends of Sister Frances Flynn

I am so sorry to hear of Sister Fran's passing.  My first job after college was teaching at Alter.  Sister Fran befriended me and supported me.  We have shared a lot of laughs over the years.  I will miss her; she was wonderful.

You were quiet, sweet, kind, athletic, and had a wonderful smile!I was so blessed to know you as a classmate and we bonded when you sat behind me in Ms. Landers class, 6th grade, and saved me from public humiliation! The world and your friends will dearly miss you!

I am so sorry to hear of Sister Frances' passing.  My family lived next to the wonderful Flynn family on Riverside Drive in Dayton and I cannot tell you how many hours a day we played basketball, softball, and kick the can.  That was over fifty years ago and I am very pleased to read that Sister Frances was respected and beloved by so many.  I send my sincere condolences to the Flynn family and to those beloved friends and associates touched by her kindness and devotion.

There's another great angel in heaven today!  I'm sure that Sr. Franny will continue to watch and take care of everyone from a new location....will keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers

Sister Fran, I will always be grateful I knew you and experienced some of your sound wisdom. I will cherish the memories....oh how you could make me laugh! You surely will be missed. I am praying for you and your family, though I know God opened his arms wide to welcome Sister Fran.

Sister Fran was a wonderful woman. She taught at Alter when I went there. She touched many students lives with the dedicated work she did. She will be missed by all who were lucky enough to know her. Thank you Sister Fran. Our prayers are with your family.

Sister Fran... You were a wonderful friend and example. We enjoyed teaching at Alter HS with you for many years, and keeping in touch for years after. Fran was a member of my family and thus such a regular figure from the time I was a child at St Alberts, then Alter, Mount Saint Joseph and long since I left that area. I imagine she taught half the population of the south suburbs to either play guitar or type. :) A real loss and such heartfelt memories. Best to Molly and all who mourn and celebrate. Maureen

My short time teaching at Alter blessed me with the friendship I had with Sister Fran. She taught me lessons that I still use today and I often think "how would Sister Fran handle this?" when I make decisions today.  Love you Sister Fran. My prayers to her family, may she rest in peace.

I never had Sister Fran in class, but interacted with her throughout my time at Alter.  She was a wonderful person with a lovely spirit who will be greatly missed.  My condolences to her family and her Alter family.

Sr.Fran was my first mentor at Alter. She was a wonderful example for me and always treated me with kindness and respect. She had a gentle spirit and a wonderful sense of  humor. She will be missed by many.

Fran (Lyons)

I was a student at Alter High School and dearly loved Sr. Fran, she was such a wonderful lady and I am so privileged to have gotten to know her there through our Kiaros retreats and in campus ministry. She was a rock of support for me when my mother was sick with cancer and continued to send me words of wisdom, faith and love all through my college years and after my mom passed away. I will treasure the talks that we had and will always remember her beautiful smile. My deepest Sympathy for Sr. Fran's family and friends.
