Theresa L. McMichael

McMICHAEL, Theresa L., age 94 of Kettering, passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at home. She was preceded in death by her brother, Sam Curcio and her sisters, Mary Hinders and Catherine Franklin. Theresa is survived by her husband, Forrest McMichael with 65 years of marriage; son, David and his wife Karen, and their son John McMichael of Hudson, OH; daughter, Diana and her husband Larry Fleming and their sons, William and his wife Chelsea McMichael, Chris and his wife Felicite and their son, Ethan Lilly of Kettering, OH; sister, Alice Steffen; nephew, Craig (Alison) Curcio, four nieces, Sara Hinders, Bonnie (Ron) Hershey, Lisa (John) Mock, and Jenny (Eddie) Rauch. Theresa was born in Dayton, OH on September 6, 1918 to the late Dominic and Lucia (DeSando) Curcio. She had worked for G.M. prior to having a family and went on to retire from the Kettering School System where she worked in the cafeteria at Greenmont Elementary. She graduated from Roosevelt High School and was a member of Mt. Zion Church and former member of Linden Avenue Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, July 22, 2013 at the Mt. Zion Church, 428 Shepherd Rd, Xenia, OH. The family will receive relatives and friends at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME – BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia RD at Grange Hall RD from 2 – 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 21, 2013 as well as at the church on Monday, July 22 from 12 p.m. until the time of services.
