

Thomas Robert (Bob) Moore, affectionately referred to as “Deda” by his grandkids, 89 years old of Dayton,
Ohio passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 27, 2021.
There will be a small service held at Calvary Cemetery in his memory on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at
2:00 pm. Pastor Debbie Holder will be officiating, following with a military salute provided by the Veteran
Affairs of Dayton. Service arrangements will be handled by Tobias Funeral Home of Dayton.
Bob was born in Chicago, Illinois on May 25, 1931 to his parents, Robert and Pauline Moore. He graduated
from Tilden Technical High School and continued on to join the U.S. Airforce, where he served four years with
an honorable discharge. After the military, Bob studied industrial engineering at the University of Illinois.
Bob was married to Corda Francis Sacksteder on August 27, 1955. They were happily married for 65 years
until her passing on April 29, 2020.
Bob spent his early years working a myriad of technical jobs until he finally settled into a sales position
working for several high-profile electronics manufacturers, where he was able to use his engineering
knowledge to its full extent. Amongst other things, Bob enjoyed fishing, photography, wood working, and
tinkering with electronics and mechanics in his spare time, but mostly he enjoyed spending time with his
family.
Bob is survived by his five children, Michael, Kathleen, Paula, James, and Matthew, his 12 grandchildren,
Justin, Chad, Emily, Natalie, Alexandra, David, Michael, Joseph, Kathrine, Madeline, Amelia, and Anna, along
with his 8 great grandchildren, Landon, Kendal, Camryn, Abigail, Madelyn, Rosalie, Amelia, and Clara, as well
as other family and old friends.
Bob is proceeded in death by his loving wife Corda, and his Mother and Father, Pauline and Robert.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Hospice of Dayton. The family of Bob Moore would
like to thank Tobias Funeral Home, Calvary Cemetery, Pastor Debbie Holder, Hospice of Dayton, all of the
wonderful doctors and nurses that cared for him, and the Veteran Affairs of Dayton for their services.
