

Thomas William White, age 79, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving-family on November 30, 2025. Tom was born in Dayton, Ohio to Thomas J. and Mary E. White. He was preceded in death by his parents, and by Susan, his beloved wife of 48 years. He is survived by his children, Thomas R. White (Carrie) and Kathleen Beer (Bryan), sister Gail Beale, sister-in-law Judy Keiser, and four grandchildren: Allyson White, Joshua Beer, Thomas D. White, and Adam Beer.
Tom graduated from Chaminade High School and the University of Dayton. He worked in purchasing and later as a sales engineer, retiring from the heating and plumbing industry. He was an avid sports fan, especially of University of Dayton basketball.
A man of strong faith, Tom was a long-standing member of Immaculate Conception Parish and later Ascension Parish. He was known for his sense of humor and love of dogs. He was a member of the Miami Valley Pet Therapy Association and certified his dogs for pet therapy services. With his dogs, he enjoyed providing comfort to people in hospitals and nursing homes. Tom was generous by nature and gave freely to many organizations throughout his life.
Visitation and Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Church of the Ascension, 2025 Woodman Drive, on Thursday, December 11, 2025. Visitation begins at 10:00 AM and Mass will follow at 11 AM with Fr. Tom Nevels officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
The family wishes to thank all of Tom's friends and caregivers who loved and cared for him at the Courtyard of Centerville.
In honor of Tom’s life, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice or to a charity of your choice. His kindness, faith, and gentle presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
