Vera M Stroup

STROUP, Vera M., age 85 passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family Monday, May 14, 2012 at the Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties. Vera was born in Dayton, Ohio to the late Harry and Margaret Page, she was a 1945 graduate of Parker Co-Op High School and a charter member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Gerald B. Stroup, brothers; Robert, Richard, and Russell Page, sister Shirley Mariscalco. Vera is survived by her children; Linda(Monroe)Blackburn, Daniel(Candace)Stroup, Kathleen(Thomas)Cloud, Debra(William)Bush, Jeanne(John)Borgert, and James(Barbara)Stroup, grandchildren: Michael, Lori Ann, and Christopher; David and Caroline; Jason and Holly; Kara and Shana; Joseph and Gregory, nine great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial to be held 10:30 AM Friday, May 18, 2012 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church 6245 Wilmington Pike. Burial will follow Calvary Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the mass. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made in Vera’s memory to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
