He is survived by his loving wife Julie (Nesko), sons Scott (Meredith) and Ben (Aimee), and five grandchildren Addison, Landon, Hudson, Sydney, and Chloe.
Vince was a good man, a smart man, and a proud man; a great Father and loving Granddad.
Vince was born on September 22, 1944 to Vincent Dudley Bryant and Glenna Marie McCabe in Franklin, Ohio. After proudly graduating from Franklin High School in 1963, he followed in his father’s footsteps by attending The Ohio State University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 1967.
A career Air Force civilian, Vince spent 36 years with the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (formerly the Foreign Technology Division). He proudly served his country by designing the original high-tech information systems that kept our country safe and one step ahead of our adversaries.
Vince had many loves in his life. He frequently vacationed with his family in Boothbay Harbor, Maine where he enjoyed the smell of the ocean and fresh seafood. He proudly cheered from the sidelines at every one of his sons’ youth sporting events and volunteered with their Cub Scout pack. His annual Ohio Power camping trip with friends provided year-round stories of camaraderie and shenanigans. Reruns of Perry Mason and Star Trek. Jazz and classical music. The stars and cosmos. And of course the Ohio State Marching Band, The Best Damn Band in the Land. He rejoiced in watching one last national title for his beloved Buckeyes.
But his true love was his wife Julie. Married 53 years, Vince and Julie were one of a kind. These best friends met in June 1971, got engaged in October, and married in January 1972. They perfectly complemented each other and lovingly supported each other through thick and thin.
Vince was a wonderful, respected father who raised his two boys to be good men that aspire to be as great of a father as he was to them. He was a goofy Granddad who savored every moment spent with his grandchildren.
His spirit of kindness, generosity, and selflessness will live on in our hearts forever. His departure leaves an unfillable void in our lives, yet we find comfort in the memories and everlasting love we shared.
A visitation will be held at 9:30AM on Saturday March 1, 2025 at St. Luke Catholic Church, 1440 North Fairfield Rd, Beavercreek. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30AM. Fr. Angelo Anthony celebrant. A luncheon will follow.
In lieu of flowers, we recommend using that money to have dinner with a friend or family member and taking the time to talk, reminisce, and savor the time you have together. Donations can be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society where Vince volunteered for years.
