

Miller, Warren Douglas "Doug" passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2012. Doug was preceded in death by his parents, Geneva (Rose) and Warren G. Miller and a brother, Timothy Dale. He is survived by his devoted wife of 28 years, Sachi, who remained by his side throughout his fight with cancer. Doug is also survived by his three children by his first marriage, Warren A. (Tony) Miller, wife, Jennifer, lovely granddaughter, Megan Nicole and grandson, Michael Joseph; daughter, Carmen G. Miller; son, Richard A. Miller, wife, Sheila and two fine grandsons, Luke Douglas and Logan Gabriel. He was graduate of Beavercreek High School and Wright State University. Doug joined the U.S. Marine Corps shortly after high school and retired as a Captain in 1982. Doug served a combat tour in Vietnam and also served in Panama, Nicaragua, Bolivia, Japan and Hawaii. Doug is also survived by and was especially close to his brothers and sisters, Joella Yeager, Nancy Lester, Jeff Miller , Andy Miller and Andy's wife, Connie. Doug also was proud of his many beloved nieces and nephews. Mr. Miller served as a Director on the Board of Greene, Inc. from 1993 to 2010, an organization providing services to persons with developmental disabilities in Greene County. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, January 23, 2012, at Byron Church, 3230 Trebein Road with Reverend H. Wesley Barnhill officiating. Interment with full military honors will follow in Byron Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-6 p.m. on Sunday, January 22, 2012 at the Tobias Funeral Home-Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Road at Grange Hall Road.
