

DEVER, William E. “Bill”, age 92 of Centerville, passed away Monday, April 27, 2015 at Heartland of Centerville. Bill was born on September 25, 1922 in Dayton to the late Edward and Lorene Dever. Bill was also preceded in death by his loving wife of 41 years, Frances “Frankie” Dever. He is survived by his daughter, Brenda Dever-Armstrong and husband, Alan Armstrong; Son, Terry Dever; grandchildren, Greg Hill, Chris Hill and Carrie Diltz; and a great granddaughter, Alexis Diltz. In addition, Bill was a devoted friend to Dorothy Wagner of Lewisburg. Bill served in the U.S. Army Medical Corp during WWII. He was the past owner of the Stagecoach Restaurant in Vandalia in the mid 60’s and the Oakwood Carry-out. Bill ended his career working for Combined Insurance of America. He was a member of Sugarcreek Presbyterian Church and enjoyed gardening and traveling.
