
Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:15 prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. Jervis who died Thursday, December 29, 2016, at Westminster Assisted Living, was born on December 16, 1937 in Decatur to Orey Troup and Mary Maloney Troup. She has been married to Bobby Jervis of Decatur for 55 years. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church where she had been active with the youth fellowship program. After graduating from the University of Montevallo with a BS in education, she worked as a teacher for Aberdeen High School in Aberdeen, Maryland, the Decatur City School System, and Calhoun Community College.
Adah enjoyed traveling throughout the U.S. and Europe with her husband, watching live tennis tournaments, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Orey and Mary Maloney Troup; brother, Orey Norton Troup, Jr.; and daughter Mary Beth Jervis. Survivors include husband, Bobby Jervis; one sister, Barbara Troup Clyce; two daughters, Leigh Jervis Kreynus and Susan Jervis Lowman; and two granddaughters, Chandler Elisabeth Kreynus and Amanda Brooke Lowman.
Pallbearers will be Tim Hodge, Keith Perrigin, Skip Jervis, Larry Kreynus, Jay Clyce, and Dr. Crawford King.
