June Sanders, 78, of Decatur died Thursday after a battle with cancer. Mrs. Sanders was retired from Wittichen Supply Company and Dr. Joe Burns Dental Office. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Gerald N. Sanders; one son, Joe R. Sanders (Joy) of Bartlett, Tenn.; two daughters, Joani Sanders Tweedy (Robby) of Decatur and Jan Sanders Nicholas (Bruce Cox), also of Decatur. She is also survived by five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home. The family will receive friends prior to the funeral from 9:30 until 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of the Valley, P.O. Box 2745, Decatur, AL 35602.
