
Elizabeth Ann Wilson DuBois, 81, died Sunday, November 13, 2011. Liz passed away at home with her family after a year long battle with cancer. She was born in Sledge, Mississippi to Stella Mae Walters Fields and Garland Moses Wilson and was loved by her stepfather, James Otis Fields. Prior to moving to Decatur in 1964, she spent much of her life in Pensacola, Florida. She was a graduate of Pensacola High School and later met and married her husband, Charles. They were married for 59 years.
Liz was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Decatur. She loved traveling and spending time outdoors, hiking and camping with her husband and family. She also enjoyed playing bridge with her friends.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Wesley DuBois and her three daughters, Dawn DuBois Giles of Marina Bay, Calif., Lesley DuBois Jones (David) of Nashville and Kendal DuBois Moores (Jack) of Decatur; and five grandchildren, Charles Curran Moores, Wesley Cole Jones, Kendal Summar DuBois Jones, Elizabeth "Lily" Grace Hess, Jon Holman Moores III. Her parents and sister, Rosalyn JoAnn Wilson Cloud preceded her in death.
Pallbearers will be David Jones, Jack Moores, Wayne Wales, Bob Buchanan, Bill Buchanan, Paul Hoffman, John Robinson and David Roberts.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Decatur. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of service. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery. Rev. Roger Jenkins will officiate. Roselawn Funeral Home directing.
