Funeral for Howard James "Jim" McLaughlin, 76, of Falkville will be Saturday, February 18, 2012, at 1 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with Harold Fanning officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mr. McLaughlin, who died Wednesday, February 15, 2012, at his residence, was born June 2, 1935, in Watson, Mich., to James H. and Lucille McLaughlin. He was a U.S. Army veteran and was retired from Wal-Mart. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra McLaughlin; daughter, Tina Smith; and his parents.
He is survived by one son, Jeff McLaughlin (Donna) of Hartselle; one daughter, Kelley Sumerel of Falkville; two sisters, Norma Shipley and Phyllis Parrett; grandchildren, Travis Sumerel, Blake Sumerel, James Vanderberg, Craig Smith and Josh Smith (Jenny); and 20 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Blake Sumerel, Travis Sumerel and James Vanderberg.
