Funeral for Icy Dell Cooper, 97, of Russellville, will be held today at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home with the Rev. Bobby Ray Halbrooks and the Rev. Harold Thompson officiating. Organist will be Phyllis Whittle. Burial will be in Hartselle City Cemetery following the service. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Cooper, who died Friday, May 13, 2011, at Decatur General Hospital, was born April 14, 1914, in Russellville. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church. She retired as Chief clerk in the accessors office of Morgan County in 1974. She was preceded in death by her husband, Olen Cooper and granddaughter Susan Cooper Grisham.

Survivors include one son, Robert O. Cooper (Flora); one daughter, Lucia Faye Johnson (Glenn); two grandchildren, Lisa Turner

(Jimmy) of Decatur and Robert Hal Cooper (Laura) of Indianapolis, Ind.; six great-grandchildren, Carly, Lauren and Melissa Grisham of Carrolton, Ga., and Ginny, anna, and Ben Cooper of Indianapolis, Ind.

Pallbearers will be Hal Cooper, Glynn Grisham, Jimmy Turner, and Kenneth Owens.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of the goodfellows class of Central United Methodist Church.
