Jerry Harlan Chaffin

He was born on August 31, 1940, in Cookeville, Tennessee, to the late Theo and Estelle Chaffin. On June 30, 1962, Jerry married the love of his life, Ann (Whitaker) Chaffin, beginning a beautiful journey of nearly 64 years of marriage together.

Jerry was a hardworking and dedicated man who spent over 30 years working for Hudson Thompson. Above all else, Jerry was entirely devoted to his family. He was a constant, reliable presence in their lives, always ready to step in and help in any way he could, whenever he was needed. In his free time, he loved to travel on his Goldwing motorcycle, enjoying the freedom of the open road. His kindness, generosity, and unwavering support will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Ann Chaffin; children, Marcella Corum (Craig) and Chris Chaffin (Mary); siblings, Wayne Chaffin (Cindy) and Joyce Lee (Cordell); grandchildren, Adam Greene (Jamie), Amanda Ward (Aaron), Austin Fuller (Rachel), Nicholas Chaffin, and Amelia Chaffin; step grandchildren, Amanda Corum, Vermonica Buckelew (Dustin), Danyel Corum, and Shawn Corum (Lauren); great-grandchildren, Atticus and Clark; step great- grandchildren, Ally, Anderson, Madison, Rayne, Isaac, Lily, Aurora, Kensli, Braxton, and Killian.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Theo and Estelle Chaffin.

Visitation will be on Friday, May 22, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Roselawn Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM in the chapel of the funeral home. He will be entombed at Roselawn Cemetery.
