Mr. Reeder, 88, passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2014. He is a lifelong resident of Morgan County, was a member of Grant Street Church of Christ. He retired from South Central Bell in 1982 after 33 years of service. After his retirement, he became a licensed real estate agent. Mr. Reeder was a WWII and Korean War veteran and served on the Selective Service Board of Morgan County for 12 years.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 57 years, Margaret Dodd Reeder, and his parents, Ruby and Augusta Reeder.
Mr. Reeder is survived by his siblings, Edith Garner of Hueytown, AL, Myrtle Davis of Memphis, TN, Russell Reeder of Massey, AL and Rachel Self of Trinity, AL.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at 2:00pm at Decatur City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:30pm until 1:30pm at Roselawn Funeral Home.
