Funeral for Laura Brown Tucker, 60, of Decatur will be Saturday, September 21, 2013, at 2 p.m. at First Bible Church of Decatur with Reverend Paul Cheshier officiating and Roselawn Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the church.
Mrs. Tucker, who died Wednesday, September 18, 2013, was born April 11, 1953, in Florence to Orville and Bonnie Rae Brown. She was a member of First Bible Church of Decatur and an art teacher at Decatur Heritage. She was a member of the Pilot Club the Civic Chorus and received her master's degree from UAB. Mrs. Tucker was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Janet Brown.
Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Victor Tucker; sons, David Tucker, Jonathan Tucker and Matthew Tucker; daughter, Anna Tucker; brothers, John Brown, Charlie Brown, Keith Brown and James Brown; sisters, Era Hall and Lila Gates; grandchildren, Phoenix Tucker, Savannah Tucker, Jonathan David Tucker, Juliet Tucker and Evan Tucker; and one stepgrandchild, Gary Perkins.
Pallbearers will be John Brown, Charlie Brown, James Brown, Keith Brown, David Tucker, Jonathan Tucker and Matthew Tucker.
