Leldon Grady George, Jr. (Bud) 77 of Decatur, passed away at Summerford Nursing Home on Sunday July 2nd. Service to follow at 2:00pm in the Chapel. Burial at Roselawn Cemetery. No graveside service due to weather.
Leldon (Bud) George was born August 21, 1945 to Leldon G. George, Sr. and Christine Sherrill George Polaski.
Survivors include: one sister Lynda George Appleton (Gordon), a fiancee Charlotte Atkins, two nephews Craig Appleton (Nickey), Chris Appleton (Rhonda) and niece Gwena Sims (Ryan), three great nieces, two great nephews and one great great nephew. Special friends Glenn Atkins and Brenda Hood.
Leldon (Bud) George was preceded in death by his wife Diann Bachelor George, father Leldon G. George, Sr. mother Chistine Polaski, stepfather Stanley Polaski, sister Betty Wear, and two nieces.
Leldon (Bud) George was a retired machinist from General Motors. Bud enjoyed Nascar, working on his 1970 Volkswagen Bug and building model airplanes.
