Marlin is survived by sister, Marguerite Clem and twin sister, Marlene Clemons. Numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and many great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Madison Clemons and mother, Maybell Cheatham Clemons; brothers, J. Mike Clemons and James A. Clemons; nephews, James Steven Clem and Bradley E. Clemons.
Marlin loved his family, friends, and students. He was so good to everyone. Marlin was fascinated with food. He really told me (his twin sister, Marlene Clemons) that he was going to eat whatever he wanted, as much as he wanted, anytime he wanted. Christian and country music were his favorites. He had many records, tapes, and CDs. He was a huge fan of Alabama Football. Roll Tide!!!
A visitation for Marlin will be held Sunday, August 10, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Somerville Road Church of Christ, 1415 Somerville Rd SE, Decatur, AL 35601, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM.
