Mary Elizabeth Hogan, 89 of Falkville, passed away on August 28, 2023. Visitation will be on Friday, September 1, 2023, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Roselawn Funeral Home, with the Celebration of Life service to follow at 2:00 PM in the chapel with Bobby Eads officiating. She will be laid to rest at Roselawn Cemetery.
Mary Elizabeth Hogan is survived by daughter, Lisa Malone; son in law, Tim Malone; grandson, Jason Duncan; granddaughter, Lindsay Duncan; sister, Linda Holmes and brother, Chris Poole.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn L. Hogan; father, Christopher Augustus Poole and mother, Margaret Jolly Poole.
Mary was born and raised in Morgan County. She married Glenn and moved to San Diego where he was stationed in the Navy there until her return to Alabama in 1984. She was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. She traveled with her husband and job to multiple states as well as Puerto Rico. Mary returned to Morgan County in 1984 where she always referred to as “home”. Mary returned to work outside the home in 1985 where she worked secretarial jobs. Her favorite job was working for Morgan County Dispatch. Mary loved her home in the country where she took care of many pets and enjoyed watching the wild animals.
