Funeral service for Myrna Marie Royer, 73, formerly of Decatur, will be Thursday, May 19, 2011, at 11 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with the Pastor Eddie Scheler officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 5 to 7 at Roselawn Funeral Home.
Mrs. Royer, who died Sunday, May 15, 2011, at Gateway Medical Center in Clarksville, Tenn., was born August 21, 1937, in Decatur to Claude Henry McBride and Hildegard Holtman McBride. She was a lifelong member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Mrs. Royer was also a lifelong resident of Decatur, until 1999 when she moved to Brunswick, Ga., and then to Clarksville, Tenn. to be near her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. William A. Royer, M.D. and was loved by her family.
Survivors include two sons, Steven Lee Royer of Clarksville, Tenn., and Richard Claude Royer of Hartwell, Ga.; one daughter, Celia Marie Royer of Clarksville, Tenn.; three grandchildren, Christopher, Kyle and Shannon; one niece, Linda Hyde of Decatur; and one nephew, Sam Hyde of Decatur.
