Mr. Long, who died Tuesday, February 5, 2013, at Decatur Morgan Hospital, was born December 28, 1934, in Morgan County to Leon and Fiora Long. He graduated from Decatur High School and was a maintenance supervisor at Morgan County Health Department for over 30 years. He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Marinelle Long and his parents.
Survivors include three daughters, Kathy Long of Decatur, Marianne Fagan (Rickey) of Moulton and Becky Morgan (James) of Decatur; one sister, Melba Cheape of Augusta, Ga.; and four grandsons, Daniel Fagan and Adam Fagan of Moulton and Anthony Morgan and Curtis Morgan of Decatur.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Valley in Wayne Long's name.
