Funeral services for Ollie L. Perry, 91, of Decatur, will be Wednesday, January 7,2026 at 1:00 in the chapel at Roselawn Funeral Home with Bro. Joe Holmes officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be 12:00 to 1:00 at the funeral home.
Mr. Perry was born January 21, 1934, in Pine Barren, Florida to Eldred Allen Perry and Bernice Perlee Donaldson Perry. He passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 30, 2025. He was a long-time member of Parkview Baptist Church. He loved his country and was a U.S. Army vet having served in the Korean War. He worked in the paper industry for many years and retired from Champion Paper in 1994. He enjoyed bowling, golf, and traveling having visited all 50 states. He was a longtime fan of Austin High School football and basketball. He enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves and was an avid Florida Gators fan.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Betty Nell Kelly Perry; three brothers and two sisters.
He is survived by his daughters, Denise May (Don), Janice Waldrop, Karen Jenkins (Stephen), and Cindy Carvin (Russ); four grandchildren, Danielle Walters (Alex), Tracy Feist, Lara Carvin and Scott Carvin; three great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Carvin, Gabby Feist and Rayner Feist.
He had many wonderful friends whom he loved and guided by his love, compassion and faith in God. He will Truly be missed.
