Memorial service for Robert William Spor, 68, of Decatur will be Friday, February 25, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church with Dr. Skelly officiating. Visitation will be from 10:30 until service time at the church.

Mr. Spor, who died Tuesday, February 22, 2011, was born June 13, 1942, in Pittsburgh, Pa., to Harry Spor and Margaret Myers Spor. He retired as an engineering manager and steel industry executive. He was a loving family man, cyclist, music enthusiast, enjoyed drawing, painting, and travel. He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. Mr. Spor received his bachelor of science from Carnegie Institute of Technology and his master of science from The University of Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, James M. Spor.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Mary Wardie Spor; daughters, Elizabeth Spor Taylor and husband, J.T., of Aurora, Ohio, and Susan Spor Rattner and husband, Stuart, of Pittsburgh, Pa.; and grandchildren, Alex and Catherine Taylor and Joey and Charlotte Rattner.
