I have very fond memories of Anne (and Joe) Echel.  They were always at my grandmother’s and my mother’s house for the holidays. I remember  Joe at the barbeque cooking spedini; Anne and her mother playing cards.  They all came to my house for July 4th barbecues too.  We had so many laughs , delicious food and  good times on New Year’s Eve.  Years ago, I sent Anne a Christmas card when she lived in West Babylon asking her for the spedini recipe and she mailed it to me!!  I still have it.  The last time I saw Anne was probably 15 years ago at a diner in Syosset with my mom (Elizabeth Farruggia, who passed away in 2012 at 95), my Aunt Mary (Pettinicchi, who is going “strong” at 98 years) and Phylss.  I probably still have that photo.

I believe Anne is the last of that generation of Echel’s.  I always ask my Aunt Mary when  I speak to her if she heard from Anne.   I am so sorry for your loss Phylss, Joseph, Joyce and family.

We are so sorry to hear of Ann's passing.   We were neighbors many years ago in West Babylon and we were cousins.    We have many wonderful memories of your mom and her beautiful smile.    Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.   The Pettinicchi family.
