Anna was born on March 1, 1933, in Boville, Italy. As a child during World War II, she endured significant hardship, experiences that shaped her strength, resilience, and deep appreciation for family.
At the age of 19, Anna married her beloved husband, Americo. While he worked in America, Anna raised their first two children in Italy. In 1962, she and her children reunited with him in Jamaica, New York where they welcomed their third child, Adele. Though they faced challenges as immigrants, Anna met them with grace, perseverance, and an enduring sense of humor.
Anna devoted her life to selflessly caring for those she loved. She expressed her love through food, delighting family and friends with her homemade pasta, lasagna, eggplant parmigiana, pizza, and cookies. Her kitchen was the heart of the home, and her meals created memories that will be cherished forever.
The matriarch and foundation of her family, Anna was a loving sister, aunt, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Anna was predeceased by her husband Americo, her daughter Adele, her sister Caterina, and brother Dominico. She is survived by her sons, Dave and Louis; her brothers Armando and Emilio, and sister-in-law Rosalba as well as her nieces and nephews. She had six devoted grandchildren, Eric, Melissa, Michael, Kristin, Joseph, and Kellie; and nine great-grandchildren, all of whom lovingly called her Nonna. She touched the lives of everyone she met and will be deeply missed.
