

Don was married to his wife Emily until her passing this past April. They were married for 42 years. Don is survived by his son, Peter of Quincy MA; daughter Kimberly, grandson Tyler and son-in-law, William of Commack NY; sister, Janet of Harrington Park; and mother, Alice of Cresco PA.
Don’s professional career was in the telecommunications and cable industries. He held various executive/management positions at NYNEX/Bell Atlantic, AT&T, Teleport Communications Group (TCG), Arbros, Bresnan Communications and most recently Cablevision. Don was a graduate of Bryant High School in Woodside, NY, a member of the Air Force Reserves and attended classes at the University of Delaware and Queens College.
The majority of Don’s free time was spent long distance cycling and kayaking various ponds or rivers on Cape Cod. His favorite thing was spending time with his beloved grandson Tyler, who referred to his grandfather as “Pa”.
Don and his wife made Cape Cod their permanent residence in 2004 after raising their children in Allendale, NJ and after relocation to Edgewater, MD. Don had a love for all that Cape Cod had to offer. He was an active volunteer with the Pan Mass Challenge, a member of the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History and active supporter of Rails-to-Trails.
Visitation will be on Thursday, July 31, 5 to 9 PM at Claude R. Boyd-Caratozzolo Funeral Home in Deer Park, NY. All are invited to attend Don’s graveside service on Friday, August 8, 11 AM at Brewster Lower Road Cemetery, Brewster MA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Camp Sunshine - www.campsunshine.org.
