James P. Balletti

James P. Balletti, age 87, of Deer Park, New York passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2022. He made a successful career as a draftsman and after retirement became a baker. James was a big fan of classic westerns and the New York Mets. He was an athlete himself, playing baseball and bowling in his spare time. When he wanted to relax, the cool tunes of Johnny Cash played while he enjoyed a fine cigar and a nice scotch. But what meant most to him was being surrounded by family, especially his grandkids and great-grandkids at the Big Sunday Italian Dinner; everyone enjoying his wife's one of a kind sauce.

James is survived by his devoted wife, Roseanna and loving children Maryann Balletti, Tina Asseng (George), Theresa McGarrity (Jim), Peter, James and Thomas. Cherished "Pop" to Sal, Katie, Jim, Christopher, Alyson, Sarah, Nicole, T.J., James, Bella, Owen, William and Meghan. Beloved Great-grandpop to Lucy, Madison, Emilie and Ivy. Loving sister-in-law to Mary Arceri.

A visitation for James will be held Sunday, January 9, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM at Claude R. Boyd-Caratozzolo Funeral Home, 1785 Deer Park Ave, Deer Park, New York 11729. A mass of christian burial will occur Monday, January 10, 2022 at 10:15 PM at St Cyril and Methodius RC Church, 125 Half Hollow Rd, Deer Park, New York 11729. A private cremation will follow.
