Louis R. Stuono

Born on August 22, 1927 in Long Island City, Louis lived a long and meaningful life defined by devotion to family, quiet strength, and unwavering integrity. He was preceded in death by his cherished wife, Helen Stuono, with whom he shared many loving years. He was an easy going, kind, and generous soul, who patiently attended to his wife during her illness.

Louis is survived by his three devoted children: his eldest son, Robert Stuono, his loving daughter Patti Maurio (Lou), and his younger son William Stuono. He was a proud grandfather to Chris (Abby), Lindsay, and Brittany (Angelo), and a loving great-grandfather to Luca, Ava, and Evelyn. He is survived by many cherished nieces and nephews.

Louis was a proud U.S. Army veteran, and had a lifelong love of baseball, football, and golf. He especially enjoyed his trips to Atlantic City with his wife Helen, where he could often be found watching her play the slot machines or enjoying a great buffet. He loved to dance, and he and Helen were always on the dance floor together at weddings and special occasions. These moments of simple joy were among his favorites. He was very handy and enjoyed tinkering around the house and maintaining his yard. He was a wallpaper master, doing every room in the house he lived in for 65 years. His warm and friendly daily greetings to the mailman were legendary.

He will be remembered for his wisdom, calm presence, and gentle humor. Louis leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and deep family values that will continue to inspire future generations.

He will be deeply missed, fondly remembered, and forever loved.

A visitation will be held at Boyd-Caratozzolo Funeral Home in the RAINS CHAPEL on August 10, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

The Mass of Christian Burial will take place at S. Cyril & Methodius RC Church, located on Deer Park Ave, Deer Park, NY, on August 11, 2025, from 11:15 am to 12:00 pm.

The committal service will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park, 2030 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, NY, on August 11, 2025, from 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm.
