Lucina Hueramo Ortiz

Lucina Hueramo Ortiz, age 78, passed away on February 4, 2026. She was born on June 30, 1947, and was a resident of Brentwood, New York. Lucina was the beloved wife of the late Bernardo Zavala, and together they created a family filled with love and devotion. She was a devoted mother to her beloved children: Jorge, Marco, Magaly, Marbella, and Azucena, who will cherish her memory and love forever. Lucina, a proud grandmother, leaves behind her grandchildren: Anthony, Brianna, Domingo, Elizabeth, Benjamin, Gabriel, Elias, Getzemani, Julio, Valerian, and Edwin, as well as thirteen great-grandchildren. Her love and wisdom have profoundly shaped the lives of her family members, forging bonds that will endure across generations.

Lucina's warmth, kindness, and unwavering strength were an inspiration to all who knew her. She will be remembered for her nurturing spirit, her dedication to family, and her profound impact on the lives of those around her.

A visitation will be held at Boyd-Caratozzolo Funeral Home, on February 8, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

The committal service is scheduled for February 9, 2026, at Queen of All Saints Cemetery, located at 115 Wheeler Rd, Central Islip, NY, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
