

Dr. Maurice J. Vautrin-Gardinier, age 95, of Dix Hills, New York passed away on Saturday, October 30, 2021. A dignified and accomplished gentleman served as the Suffolk County Medical Examiner for many years and he had many passions. He was an active member and former Rotary Club President. With a vibrant sense of humor he could make anyone laugh over a glass of wine as he was a true connoisseur. He loved gardening and dancing and above all his family. Most recently, he became a published author with his book "RX for Life and Laughter: Memoires of a French Physician Practicing in the United States." It is now available for purchase through Xlibris Publishing.
Dr. Maurice J. Vautrin-Gardinier is predeceased by his beloved wife Thecla and siblings Andre, Francoise Rombout and Monique. Survived by his loving children Jean(John) Vautrin-Gardinier (Lee Ann) and Valerie Vautrin-Gardinier. Cherished grandfather to Jon and Quinn Pearson and forever loved by his step grandchildren Dylan, Ricky and Justin.
A visitation for Maurice will be held Friday, November 5, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM at Claude R. Boyd-Caratozzolo Funeral Home, 1785 Deer Park Ave, Deer Park, New York 11729. A Mass of Christian burial will occur Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 10:30 AM at St. Elizabeth R.C. Church, 175 Wolf Hill Road, Huntington Station, NY 11746. Interment to follow at St Charles Cemetery, 2015 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, New York 11785.
The Vautrin-Gardiner is strongly requesting all visitors that come to pay their respects to please wear masks out of concern for safety from the coronavirus.
